I'm not very experienced with texturing so these are going to be pretty basic. I put my basic model into mudbox and added any alterations I wanted by sculpting before texturing in the paint layer. They turned out ok I think though I would have liked a few more days to experiment a bit more with them.
Now that my character is all modelled I have started rigging. Its a pretty basic rig to be honest but it does what it needs to do for this project. While doing the rig I have found a couple of areas on the model I would change or do differently if I were to do the project again so its been a good learning experience.
UPDATE: I have broken my rig, not sure how, But the model is already posed so I will finish everything else first and go back and fix it if I have time.
Yay the modelling is finished! I am pretty happy with how she turned out I think. I wish I had had more time to look into how to make hair or to experiment with ncloth but thats maybe something I can try over the Christmas break. There are a few areas, around the wrists for example, where my topology could be a lot better and thats something I'm going to pay a lot more attention to next time.
I have also UV mapped my character ready for texturing and/or and mudbox sculpting I want to do.
So I think next I'm going to rig her, as I'm not very confident with rigging so it will take a while, then I can move on to texturing.
In our final tutorial of 2015 (that went by so quick!) we learned how to render out our model and composite it into a scene. We used image based lighting which I had never used before, I have seen the like mirror ball things you use for it but no one had ever explained how the lights from there are applied in 3D so that was cool. We then set up our render passes and layers for compositing.

In part 2 of our rigging tutorial we finished our IK/FK switch (which I found very difficult, I could not get my head around the connection editor for some reason), created finger controls, created a few blendshapes and painted skin weights on our model.
So first things first I restarted the head. I really wasn't happy with how the first attempt was progressing. Unfortunately with the second attempt I kept forgetting to screenshot so I only have a few progress shots.
And I have started putting it all together
Still to do: Boots, hair, hood. Then I'm onto UV mapping and texturing. I'm aiming to have her modelled and textured by the presentation, if I have time I would also like a simple rig on her but we will see how long texturing takes me.
I finished my research poster =) I am quite happy with how it turned out. The font is a little big and I think if I were to do another one, now that I am a bit more comfortable with InDesign I would try and do something a bit more creative with the timeline or to break up the sections.
